The short version: Inkline stores your notes only on your own device. We don't collect, transmit, or have access to anything you write. There are no accounts, no ads, and no analytics.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Inkline ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use it. Inkline is a simple, offline notes app built with Flutter.
Information We Collect
Inkline does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
- We do not collect your name, email address, location, or contact information.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
- We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location.
How Your Notes Are Stored
Every note you create is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (Hive). Your notes never leave your phone — they are not uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party, and we have no way to view or access them.
If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, your notes are permanently deleted along with it. We recommend backing up anything important through your device's own backup tools if you rely on this data.
Permissions
Inkline requests only the minimum permissions needed to function, and does not request access to contacts, location, SMS, camera, or microphone.
Third-Party Services
Inkline does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services. The only external action the app can take is opening this privacy policy page in your device's browser when you tap the link in Settings.
Children's Privacy
Inkline does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from any user at all.
Data Security
Because your notes are stored only on your own device and never transmitted anywhere, their security depends on your device's own security (such as your screen lock). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of Inkline adds optional cloud sync — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before that feature reaches you.
